PPE SPEAKER SERIES

The PPE speakers team brings together influential and industry-leading experts from the areas of Philosophy, Politics, and Economics to bring a wider depth of understanding and perspectives to students at the University of Warwick. We have recently hosted our annual event of Kirk Surgener vs Ben Ferguson, a debate with an attendance of around 90 people. We also welcomed leading academics on inequality and the author of ‘Shattered Nation’, Danny Dorling, another popular event with free pizza for all attendees. Throughout 2023 we brought in a range of speakers and have even bigger events planned for 2024, where we will host a wide variety of speakers, including a talk from our local MP, Zarah Sultana, in Term 2 Week 7.

Our podcast, PPE Unfiltered, brings together a diverse range of perspectives and opinions on current news and controversial topics to bridge the gap between PPE at Warwick and its practical applications. We have released podcasts on topics such as wellbeing and extremism, and we look forward to our future podcasts as we aim to release episodes around once every 2 weeks.
