The Symposium

Reintroduced in 2026, the Symposium event was brought together 200 PPE students from Warwick, LSE, UCL, KCL, Birmingham and Exeter. The day is split into two parts. In the morning, we hosted three career panels and networking sessions for finance, law and consulting. In the afternoon, we held an academic discussion with live Q&A on the rise of populism.

Our guest speakers included: Alan Sked - founder of UKIP and emeritus professor at LSE, John Denham - former UK cabinet minister and Labour MP, and Sam Freedman, author of Failed State and Senior Fellow at the Institute for Government.
